Getting started

Create your account

1. Open TMYG and choose Create account.
2. Under I'm joining as, pick Ministry leader. That starts a new church account. If your church is already on TMYG, pick Staff / Volunteer instead and see Inviting leaders.
3. Type your name, your email and a password of at least 6 characters, then choose Create account. You can also use Continue with Google.

The two-step setup

Your church and ministry names show on your dashboard and on the pages parents and students see. Everything else, like city, grades and planning year, starts with a default you can change in Settings, under Church and Ministry.

1. Step 1 of 2: type your church name. The ministry name is optional: it's what your students call the group. Leave it blank to use your church name. Choose Continue.
2. Step 2 of 2: pick the group size closest to a typical gathering. A rough count is fine. Choose Go to my dashboard.

The Get set up checklist

Home opens with a Get set up checklist. Tap an item to go straight to that screen. Each one checks itself off when you do it:

• Add your students: names, grades and parent contacts
• Plan your first night: build the run of show for a gathering
• Add an event to the calendar: start mapping out the year
• Invite a leader: plan together with your team
• Save a place you go: cost, contact and notes for next time

The checklist goes away once all five are done. You can also hide it with the close button. Leaders you invite never see it.

Finding your way around

On a phone, the bar at the bottom has Home, Nights, Calendar, Students and More.

On a computer, the tabs across the top are Home, Activities, Calendar, Night Builder, Sermons and More.

More holds everything else in three groups: Planning, Ministry and Account.

More than one ministry

Running middle school and high school separately? In Settings, open Ministry and choose Add ministry. Each ministry keeps its own calendar, students and plans, and you can switch between them.

Forgot your password

On the sign-in screen, type your email, then choose Forgot password?. If there's an account for that email, a reset link is sent to it.
